Peter Ballarin comes from a long line of bakers tracing back into the foothills of the Italian Dolomites. As a boy and a young man, Peter worked hard in his father’s Massachusetts bakery before going on to the Culinary Institute.
Along with hard work and good food, Peter’s dedication has succeeded in building a lasting restaurant business. The Hungry I has been in the same location for over 25 years, a beautiful brownstone in Beacon Hill.
Peter has kept up with the times, by refreshing and renovating the space, without losing the old world charm.
